Model Photography for Imirage Magazine
This model photography shoot was created for submission to Imirage Magazine. The resulting series was selected for a 10-page feature, with the work also awarded the front cover.
Seeing the work published in print was a fantastic result, and having the series selected for the cover made the project particularly memorable.
The shoot took place in Alan’s home studio with HMUA Liliano Artistry and model Debbie. The full-day session explored eight different looks using a combination of coloured backdrops, makeup styles and a three-light setup.
Creating Eight Different Looks
Alan used a Hasselblad H4D with an 80mm lens for the head-and-shoulder images and a 50–110mm lens for the full-body shots.
The different looks were created through changes in styling, makeup, coloured backgrounds and lighting, allowing the team to produce a varied collection of images throughout the day.
Model photography is about more than simply creating a strong image. Alan works closely with the subject and creative team to develop a clear direction for the shoot, helping each look feel distinctive while maintaining a consistent visual style.
From the initial concept and styling through to lighting and composition, each element is considered to create images that capture the personality and character of the model.
