Behind the Scenes of a Model Photo Shoot
This behind-the-scenes shoot captures Alan and his team working with model Debbie in the studio in Sydney.
Alan’s approach combines controlled lighting, considered composition and creative direction to create images that bring out the individual character of the subject.
The shoot also shows the preparation and collaboration that takes place behind the final photograph, from setting up the lighting to directing the model and refining each composition.
Creating the Look
Before each shoot, Alan takes time to understand the intended look and feel of the images. Lighting, styling and composition are then developed around the subject and the creative direction.
This particular shoot used a moody, minimal approach, allowing the lighting and expression to become the focus of the images.
